Dot NAME Domains

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME generic top-level domain extension is the sole TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are popular by. At first, only third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to reserve john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased third-level names remained running.

Through our firm, you can register your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to change the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer code from the present registrar firm and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no particular stipulations on who can grab a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the goal behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
